A beautiful Grade II listed thatched cottage, sympathetically refurbished to a luxurious standard while keeping the original 17th-century features with modern conveniences. The idyllic walled garden with lawn and pretty flowerbeds, pear trees, beautiful wisteria, and plenty of garden furniture. Situated in the heart of Shaldon and just a 2-minute walk to the beach. Gas central heating throughout ensures a warm stay at any time of year.
The porch leads to a large, charming, low-beamed sitting room, with comfortable sofas and TV, a DVD player, and a large area ideal for children to play. The adjoining open-plan kitchen/ family room has a lovely sitting area and a dining table, with 8 chairs, all overlooking the garden, through large French windows. The bespoke shaker style kitchen has granite worktops, a range cooker (2 electric ovens and gas hob), microwave, dishwasher & fridge/ freezer. A separate utility room has a large power shower, WC & basin, washing machine & tumble dryer.
A glass roof atrium above the landing lights the upstairs. The master bedroom (5ft double) has French windows overlooking the garden and an en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has another 5ft double. Pear Tree Cottage and surrounding properties have thatched roofs. As a result of this, BBQs+ Fires mustn't take place at the property for safety reasons.
